when I registered my intent to Study Law in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), our most respected, "revered" dearest, scholarly family friend Adviced me in all honesty to change to an eastern school his reasons where solid and protective. He meant well but hey! its not his dream, its my dream.  Of-course he is older and wiser but He doesn't feel what I feel, even your dear parents/spouse can't feel the passion that whelms in you... when I graduated from OAU he was first to dance in praise to the alter. He liked it. lol. let's pause here sweet-pea we will get back to this later.


It is a beautiful thing to surround yourself with great counsels and as well to seek advice but have you noticed that almost every one has some advice to give concerning everything? and they give it so confidently that you begin to doubt all that you know lol. yes that's the days we live in. everybody knows everything. and that brings me to the point "Everyone has got an opinion about your life" it's your life o but they have opinions more than you whose life it is.
 If we keep considering the opinion of our Friends, Mentors, Family, Spiritual Leaders etc for our lives we will always walk in the shadows of others.
 No am not saying Do not listen to Advice or Opinions of others for your life, Am saying we need to learn to see it exactly for what it is: AN OPINIONS and not strict guidelines/ rules for your life.
LEARN to LISTEN and TRUST your INNER MAN. God put the dream in you and not in your counselor. they may help and guide you but they won't always feel What you feel. that Passion to get your dreams started or achieved - they may try to understand but not to its dept because God put the dream in you and not in them.

you may say oh! these are my family, my trusted friends or even bigger, great man of God, He sees Visions and through him God has done a lot. may I remind you sweet-pea that people are not every-time in that Zone of wisdom and Understanding. why? they are humans bebe. let me back it up for you.
You remember Prophet Elijah of the Bible? yeah! that's the One! great Wonders "He" did.  Called down fire and killed all those prophets, about 450 of them. Very big deal, am still awed by that, but what I don't understand is how he took to his heels when one angry woman (Jezebel) threatened my guy (you have got to respect women you know! lol "the power of one Angry Woman" hmmm that sounds like a topic lol).
Lets take it to Moses. yeah! the Mighty Leader that Parted the red sea. He was in the presence of God Talking with God, when His Rod turned to snake in the course of Their conversation, the Bible said He turned and ran: lol(Then He said, "Throw it on the ground." So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it "Exodus).
well the point is be careful of the voices that you give your heart to, they may be important to you but always remember that the giver of that idea/dream has also equipped you sufficiently to make it come alive. If you keep up starving your inner being by refusing always to listen to it. it will die and soon enough you will hear it no more.
